1, Zirconium :
Zirconium has a melting point of 1855 degrees C or 3371 degrees F.
Zirconium is a highly adaptive element with a variety of compounds and alloys that are used in a wide range of industries, including nuclear energy, industrial fabrication, healthcare and even national defense.
Zirconium is highly resistant to heat and corrosion, and it also forms many useful compounds and alloys. These strengths make it an ideal component for nuclear reactions, and it is also used in laboratory equipment, metallurgy and surgical appliances. Jet engines and gas turbines may also use zirconium and zirconium alloys to prevent metals from warping due to high heat exposure.
2, Zirconium Copper Alloy UNS C15100:
A small addition of Zr to copper improves resistance to softening and resists deformation at high temperatures where normal copper would soften rapidly. Zirconium Copper is used as a class 1 electrode material to minimize sticking when resistance spot welding galvanized materials. Zirconium Copper is also used in many high temperature applications i.e. aerospace, power generation, etc.

A specially heat treated zirconium copper alloy that meets the minimum electrical conductivity and hardness specifications of class 1 alloy.
RWMA GENERAL USE
Electrodes for welding aluminum alloys, magnesium alloys, coated materials, brass and bronzes. Can be used for both spot and seam welding.
