Sand casting as a technology has been around for millennia, it also known as sand molded casting, is normally used for the production of large parts, by filling a molten metal into the mold cavity that has been shaped from natural or synthetic sand. Sand casting is the most widely used in manufacturing metal casting. Almost all casting metals can be sand cast.
